What we do

At a dinner party in 1998, Steve's wife Christina boasted that her husband could cook "better Filipino food than my Filipino mother." It got Kasper's attention – he was writing an article series for the Washington Post about food and dinner parties and knew right away he had to meet this guy and test the claim.

Turns out Christina was right – her husband did cook the best Filipino food Kasper had ever tried. An amazing dinner party led to a Washington Post article and became the start of a foodie friendship.

We come to you, we take over your kitchen, we cook, we serve and we clean. All you have to do is relax, enjoy the food and your company.

We don't offer any set menus. It would bore us to do the same things over and over. We love cooking too much to be stuck doing the same boring chicken breast. You will find plenty of catering companies out there offering that service. What we offer is a different experience:  we work closely with each client to fulfil their vision of the perfect meal, whether it’s a formal dinner for 10 that rivals any great restaurant, an intimate vegetarian dinner, or our take on a steak dinner for a guys' poker night. Come to us with ideas and we will work with you. Or we will give you some ideas. We promise it will be a uniquely tailored experience and menu.

We can do wine pairings. Bring a bartender. Decorate your table. Sure we can even find a harpist. We start by you clicking on the Come Cook for Me section and answer our questions.

We stick to a few key principles. We care about the environment and we care about what we eat. Meat comes from animals that have been well-treated. We only buy sustainable seafood. We believe in using local and organic produce whenever possible. We look for the best seasonal ingredients we can find.

We generally only cook in the greater DC-area. But can be talked into traveling.

Prices start at $75 per person depending on number of people and the menu.
